Hello and good morning worldI have one question for you. WHERE IS MY E-FFIN SNOW! I put in an order for it quite awhile ago. SighCome on guysshare. Please

Ahhh I cant hardly wait. 8 days till the game. The Boston Bruins vs. The Washington Caps that is. I have my tickets. I have the time off from work. The SHO is ready to go. Now all I have to do is waitwaitwaitwabah! HURRY UP ALREADY!

I am so excited a bout going to the game that all I can talk about at work is Hockey. I think I am driving my co-workers batty. I even went so far as to check one of my shelvers in to the glass (well ok the bookshelves). No not hard. That would be fuer mean. I have also been talking like an announcer all day too. Now you all might think that this is a bit weird but it does have its benefits. My co-workers are leaving me alone. They are not talking to me, they are not coming back in my lab to bug me, and best of all they are talking bout sending me home early! (yeah right, like that is going to happen).

Happy days indeed here at branch #2 that I work at. I have found another Starbucks within spitting distance. Muhahaha. Perhaps I am beginning to drink too much coffee. Is that possible? Wonder if that is why I am hip checking my co-workers. Naw

So I am now the proud owner of digital cable. I have the box. I have the remote. I have 500 channels ofcrap. Or do I? For the first time since I had the drun thing installed I went upstairs to watch some TV, and much to my chagrin I found that I did in fact have all my old basic channels, I had 8 channels of HBO, I even had about a zillion music channelsbut what I found was that I was missing ALL of the digital channels. Now lemme ask you. What is the point of having digital cable with 600 channels worth of shit to rot your brain withIF YOU DONT GET ANY OF THEM? I mean I upgraded for one reason, and one reasook two reasons really. First was the neato little menu thing that you get. Ya know the one that is like TIVO but no where near as good. Kinda like chocolate smelling scratch and sniff books. They smell like chocolate and they even look like chocolatebut trust me on this one. They taste like CRAP! Well this cable menu is kinda like that. It does everything that the TIVO did except record things. So I guess it really isnt like a TIVO at allkinda like scratch and sniff chocolate. The other reason I upgraded to digital cable was for the 10,000 channels of Discover! Discover world, animals, wings, animals eating other animals, tools, icky animals that want to eat you, guy shit, animal sex, guns, people fucking with animals, high speed car chases, animal doing silly things in hopes of amusing the nekkid monkies enough that they feed them (or at least give them digital cable), oh and of course good ole Vanilla regular cable Discover. But heres the rub. I didnt get any of the 800 extra digital channels they promised me. I dont get to stay up late watching animal porn, the life and history of some of the most disturbed minds of our time, or 999 things you can do with guns. SighI feel soincomplete. Mind you I never really watch TV (with the exceptions of a few shows) so it really doesnt matter whether I have all those extra channelsBut there is a spot deep inside me that wants my $2 worth. If I am supposed to have 1200 channels of mind numbing shitI want all 1300 channels! Well okwhat I really want is a TIVO, but that isnt going to happen for a while, so I am going to just have to make do with scratch and sniff chocolate.

So here I am waiting for my class to show upand guess what. There is not a soul here. WTF? This is a free class designed to help you make yourself a better person. And you can bother to SHOW UP! I just dont get it. Today is part 2 (still introduction) of my Word class tracka class that people have been asking to give for the last 2 months. So here I am, ready to present to them and fill their little heads with wonderful knowledgebut their not here. I just dont get it. Now what I find most confusing is that they will show up tomorrow for the intermediate class (with no prior knowledge of the program) and wonder why I wont let them take the class, or wonder why they dont understand a thing I am talking about. It just makes no sense.

So just in case some of you may have forgotten today isCOMIC DAY!

Go buy yourself a comic and yall have your self a great day.

Today I learned the following from All About Frogs by way of the Snowcat. Thanks for the link!

Generally speaking, though, when we think of frogs, we generally picture what are called "True Frogs"....

members of the family Ranidae, containing more than 400 species.

These frogs have the characteristics of:

 two bulging eyes

 strong, long, webbed hind feet that are adapted for leaping and swimming

 smooth or slimy skin (generally, frogs tend to like moister environments)

 Frogs tend to lay eggs in clusters.

Frogs from this family can be found on every continent except Antarctica. They are referred to as the "true frogs" because of their generalized body form and life history: the so-called generic frog.

Members of this family include the bullfrog, common frog, green frog, leopard frog, marsh frog, pickerel frog, and wood frog.

The term toads tends to refer to "True Toads"....

members of the family Bufonidae, containing more than 300 species.

These types of frogs have are characterized by:

 stubby bodies with short hind legs (for walking instead of hopping)

 warty and dry skin (usually preferring dryer climates)

 paratoid (or poison) glands behind the eyes

 The chest cartilage of toads is different also.

 Toads tend to lay eggs in long chains. (There are some toads (genera Nectophrynoides), however, that are the only types of anurans to bear live young!)

True Toads can be found worldwide except in Australasia, polar regions, Madagascar, and Polynesia, though Bufo marinus has been artificially introduced into Australia and some South Pacific islands.

Besides Bufo, the family includes 25 genera, all of which, like the frogs, are anura!

So what have yall learned today?
