And hell hath frozen over…or at least a little tiny part of it.

Yes world…my clearance has come in. Well one of them at least (the Dept of Justice one…I am still waiting on the Dept of Defense). It has only been 10 months since the paper work was submitted. In that time it has been lost twice, mishandled more times that I can count, signed and resigned at lest 5 times by me…and countless times by others, it has been from review board to review board…and lastly and most importantly it has spent countless weeks sitting on some jackass’s desk…growing mold.

So what does this mean to me? Well to tell ya the truth, the only thing I am excited about is the fact that I get a building badge for HQ. No more going through security, no more hoping that so and so is at their desk to provide me with an escort, no more needing someone to walk me to the bathroom! I mean come on now. Oh and yeah it does mean that I get to travel finally. Problem now is…it am the only one on the team who is cleared to travel…and if things keep going the way they have been…it will be that way for awhile. That’s ok though…I have always said that given enough time I could even teach rocks to dance. So I can certainly teach “Avocado Farmers” how to use something as simple as the “Jungle Monkey” application (the names in italics have been changed to protect the innocent…or more specifically…my ass).

Now…as for all this wonderful travel…where do I get to go first you ask? Well let me tell ya…I will begin my whirl wind tour with a trip to Sunny, Safe, and Friendly Baltimore Maryland followed by a fun filled 23 day stay deep in the Heart of our Nations Capital…yes you guessed it…Washington DC! Ugh…I mean come I am, getting to travel on the Governments Dime…travel the world and where do I get to spend the first few months of travel? HERE AT FUCKING HOME! God…it is so not fair. But at least once I am done in DC it is up to NYC for 2 months at a minimum. Perhaps this time I will get to see the entire Metropolitan Museum and not just 3 or 4 rooms. Yay travel…or something.

In more important news…I did not get to ride yesterday. MUCH to rainy. And being that I do not have an rain gear for cycling…AND it is getting kinda cold out, I chose to stay at home and slug about. Ugh…and today does not look like it is going to be any better. Well lets hear it for a warm blanket and a good book!

I have noticed that in the last handful of entries I have put in…I have been very remiss in asking the class what they have learned today. For that I apologize. So lets get back on track here…

Today I learned that Fantasy football makes little to no sense to me at the moment. BUT with that said…here is my team. Tell me what you think.

QB: Culpepper and Maddox

RB: C.Brown, Bettis, Bennett, Betts, A. Thomas

WR: Owens, Rogers, Fitzgerald, Burress, Driver

TE: Shockey, Graham

K: Janikowski

Def: Pittsburgh

So class…Tell me, what have you learned today?
